I love a baguette as a vehicle for things you would typically find on a charcuterie board. This is something to make when you want a charcuterie board all at once. Instead of having individual items one at a time you can have them all at the same time with a crispy baguette under them. It is basically an open-face sandwich.
Ingredients:
- ciabatta baguette (I got mine from Trader Joe’s)
- olive oil
- shallot
- brie
- black figs
- prosciutto
- black pepper
- flaky salt
- balsamic glaze
- hot honey
These are pretty easy to assemble. First, take your baguette half, and baste it with olive oil. Add some shallots and pop it into the air fryer for 3 minutes at 325°.
While that is cooking, prep everything else. Slice your brie into pieces about as wide as the baguette, slice your figs, rip up your prosciutto.
Once the bread is done, take it out and assemble your sandwich. Lay your brie slices down first, then your figs, and finally the prosciutto. Grind some black pepper on top. Pop back into the air fryer for 5 minutes at 325° or until your prosciutto is crisp and your brie is melty.
At this point you can plate! The finishing touches are just a drizzle of balsamic glaze and a drizzle of hot honey, and lastly some flaky salt.
